In a mild corner of Tuscany,  Lucca, beautiful city between mountains and the sea, has been the scenary and the protagonist of many films, documentaries, commercials and dramas. Many Film-productions chose Lucca for its variety of landscapes as the hills, the green countryside, the shore, the mountains, the old noble villas or the city itself.

In some films, the story really takes place in Lucca, in others, the location was chosen because it adapted to the script.  For example "Metronotte", starring Diego Abatantuono, the story was filmed totally in Lucca, while in "Portrait of a Lady" ,a noble palace of Lucca, became a florentine residence for John Malkovich.  In each case the landscapes are real perfect and suggestive backgrounds.
